Considering the need to prepare talented, skilled and qualified managers for the various business houses and not-for-Profit organizations of the country, the Academic council of the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in its 11th meeting on 19th December, 2012 recommended the proposal for starting an ‘Evening MBA Program’ by the Faculty of Business Administration which is also approved by the Syndicate of the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in its 41th meeting on the 9th March, 2013.

The ‘Evening MBA Program’ under the faculty of Business administration started its journey with the department of- Accounting and Information Systems, Finance and Banking and Human Resource Management. The courses of ‘Evening MBA Program’ helped many of the professionals as well as fresh graduates become well informed and skilled in the area of business and management. Approximately 2500 students have already graduated from the Evening MBA Program in a decade and been contributing to the corporate and national development successfully. Since the inception, the program continues to be enriched day by day by taking with the newer faculty members and department in order to meet the demand of the business world under the faculty of Business Administration. Department of Management has been included in the ‘Evening MBA Program’ in the early 2022 as the fourth member in this continuity despite the fact that the world is passing a tremulous situation due to the recent pandemic. Many of the provisions of the ‘Evening MBA Program’ now demand for modification to meet up the requirements of the knowledge society in this present state of the world and upcoming necessities of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
